Invisalign

Straight Teeth Without the Drama

iaYou can have a great-looking smile in less time than traditional braces take—and without the flash and glitter of hardware.

Invisalign® uses 3-D computer design to make clear plastic aligners that are a perfect fit for your teeth. You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks. As you replace the aligners with the next ones, they move your teeth in small, gentle steps. Soon, you’ll achieve the look you’ve always wanted. With Invisalign, you’ll feel free to smile, both during and after treatment!

Your beautiful smile will also be a healthy smile. Nicely aligned teeth give you a healthy chewing function and help you avoid chipped teeth.

Have you ever wondered, “Am I a candidate for Invisalign?” A free consultation can answer that question. Often the answer is “Yes.” Our wide experience with the technology allows us to help even those patients who have been told  by others that clear aligners won’t work for them.

You’re Never Too Old to Enjoy a Straight Smile

Teeth can be straightened at any age. Because Invisalign is virtually invisible, hardly anyone needs to know that your teeth are on the move. Whether you’re upgrading your smile to go with a new promotion, or ending the regret of not getting braces when you were younger, Invisalign is a brilliant way to reach your goals.

Dr. Horman is an Elite Preferred Provider of Invisalign, which means she has the experience to help in your situation. Call our friendly staff and ask for a free consultation.

FAQs About Invisalign

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign uses 3-D computer imaging to create a series of clear, removable aligners that gradually move your teeth into the desired position. Since the aligners are almost invisible, no one besides your doctor really needs to know you’re having your teeth straightened.

Why would I want it?

Not only are the aligners invisible, but they’re removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing are no problem. They are also comfortable, with no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment. You usually spend less time in the doctor’s office because there are no wires and bands to adjust. Invisalign 3-D graphics also allow you to view how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.

How does it work?

You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move—little by little, week by week—until they have straightened to their final positions. You’ll visit us about once every six weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 9 to 15 months, and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30.

How much does it cost?

There are many factors that determine the cost of your Invisalign treatment. The monthly cost is similar to traditional braces. It is a short-term investment in a long-term benefit.

Is Invisalign covered by insurance?

If your dental insurance includes coverage for traditional orthodontic treatment, it will most likely cover Invisalign. During your free initial exam we will call your insurance company to verify benefits. During treatment we can file insurance claims for you.

Can I speed up my treatment?

Robinwood Smiles provides two technologies that speed up the treatment process. When used with traditional braces or Invisalign, AcceleDent has been clinically proven to reduce treatment time by up to half. Propel Orthodontics may also be a good option for you. Ask during your consultation if either Propel or AcceleDent Aura would be beneficial in your case.

What are some benefits of orthodontics beyond a more attractive smile?

  • Better function of the teeth
  • More self-confidence
  • Increased ability to clean the teeth
  • Improved force distribution and wear patterns of the teeth
  • Better long-term health of teeth and gums
  • Reduced risk of injury to protruded front teeth
